How we look after your details
This page is about the Fear Fixer website and its waiting list. The app will have its own privacy page before it launches. Updated 26 October 2026.
Who we are
Fear Fixer is made by Fearfixer Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 16419909, at 51 St Marys Road, Tonbridge, Kent, TN9 2LE. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), number C2066854. You can reach us at info@fearfixer.io.
What we keep when you sign up or email us
- Your first name, and your email address or phone number
- The fear you'd like help with, and anything else you choose to tell us about it
- Whether you have an iPhone or an Android phone
- That you're 18 or over
What you tell us about your fear is health information, so we treat it with extra care. Please only tell us what you're happy to share.
Why we keep it
- To put you on the waiting list for testing, and send you an email to say so
- To call or email you to arrange testing, or to tell you when the app comes out
- To help us decide which fears to build next
We keep it because you tick the box to agree when you sign up, or say yes when you email us. You can change your mind at any time.
Who sees it
Only Tiina Sormus, the therapist who runs Fear Fixer's testing. Nobody else sees it. When you use the form on this website, your answers pass through our website hosting (Whois.com) straight to our email inbox. The website doesn't keep a copy. Your details are kept in our email account with Zoho Mail, on servers in the European Union. We never sell your details or pass them to anyone for advertising.
How long we keep it
Until the app has been out for 6 months, or sooner if you ask us to delete it. If you become a tester, the tester agreement explains what we keep during testing.
Tester feedback
When you test the app, the feedback you choose to leave is sent to our website hosting (Whois.com) and kept in a private folder that only Tiina can open. Your name isn't sent: you're given a tester number instead. It also says whether you use an iPhone or Android. Nothing else from the app is sent. We delete it when testing ends, or sooner if you ask.
This website
The website has no cookies, no adverts and no tracking. We don't know who visits it.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Just email info@fearfixer.io. If you're unhappy with how we handle your details, you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Age
Fear Fixer and its testing are for adults aged 18 and over. Please don't sign up if you're under 18.
Not for a crisis
Our email isn't watched around the clock. If you are in danger, call 999. You can talk to the Samaritans free, day or night, on 116 123.
